About ‘Ilmiyyah Durus
Alhumdulillah, through the grace of Allah, one of the most honouring and exhilarating time for a student of Knowledge is the time when they graduate from the ‘Ilmiyyah course. However, one of the most regretful days is also the day when a student leaves the surrounding of their Madrassah and decreases the link that was created with the books and its teachers.
After graduation, each student, at some point, will turn back to the memories of their Madrassah days and wonder in regards to the knowledge taught and the books learnt. It is needless to say, that at times we do not completely understand, in-depth, the book being taught or we overlook much of our education through negligence.
Whilst taking all of the above into consideration, we, at The-Deen.co.uk, have been attempting to find a regular gathering to attend which could be a dedication to those who have graduated rather than a dedication to the general public. However, it is not always possible to find such a gathering on a regular basis.
Alhumdulillah, for the first time, we have arranged for monthly discourses on the books taught in the ‘Ilmiyyah course for graduates. These causes are an attempt to give the graduates a second chance to study in detail selected books of the ‘Ilmiyyah course by qualified, experience and renowned scholars from around the United Kingdom. Even though the books have been studied before, it will be completely different to the student days. The level of teaching will be to a much higher degree.
Since September 2007 we have alhamdulillah begun these courses and had a positive response. We began Usool ush Shashee with Mufti Muhammad ibn Adam (Graduate of Darul ‘Uloom Al Arabiyyah – Son of Hadhrat Adam of Leicester) teaching to an excellent standard. We have studied a few chapters in much depth and in the English and Arabic medium. These classes allow the ‘ulema a ground and basis to go on and read further kitabs alone on the same topics.
The day is now divided into two, the morning session where Usool Ul Fiqh is taught and the afternoon session where Aqeedah is taught. Due to excellent feedback we have now made these classes available online to students all over the world who have internet access. Insha’Allah now many more alims and aalimahs can benefit.
We are looking to increase the number of subjects taught and the ‘Ulama who teach at our course. al-Hamdu Lillaah in 2009 Mufti Abdur Rahman ibn Yusuf Mangera joined ‘Ilmiyyah Durus as a teacher and provides well-thought lessons on the exegesis of the Holy qur’an.
We have tried to keep all fees to a minimal charge. The-Deen is a non-profit organisation; all fees go towards hall hire and keeping the project running, and providing the course online. All of the staff at Ad-Deen work voluntarily.
At the end of the course of the durus, students will be provided with the opputunity to purchase course audio as well as a binder of notes to keep for future reference. Insha’Allah.
Students who attend all Aqeedah sessions will insha’Allah receive Ijazah after sitting an examination.
We urge you to encourage as many ‘aalims and ‘aalimahs to attend these durus in order to develop them spiritually, as well as increase their ‘ilm to a higher level insha’Allah.

All graduates are encouraged to take benefit from these lessons and attend in order for the project to be successful. The success of this project will open the door to many other projects for both graduates and general public alike.
The classes are only for ‘aalims and ‘aalimahs who provide a full reference and complete registration. We urge all graduates to take this opportunity to enrol onto the course. For further info please contact us on the details provided. Spaces are limited and many have already registered, so please register quickly.
(Classes will be streamed online via paltalk – we advice all students to download this program along with the paltalk pop-up blocker. We will have a room named Ad-Deen -Ilmiyyah Durus which will be password protected; each student shall receive their password upon successful registration).
Students are welcome to join at anytime, but being punctual and attending all sessions is very important, otherwise one will be removed from the course.
