Just for a day or two;
If he came unexpectedly
I wonder what you’d do.
Oh! I know you’d give your nicest room
To such an honored guest;
And all the food you’d serve to him
Would be the very best;
And you would keep assuring him,
You’re glad to have him there;
Your hospitality would be beyond belief
And service beyond compare.
But… when you saw him coming,
Would you meet him at the door
With arms outstretched in welcome
To your honoured visitor?

One night I heard a knock on my door;
Who can it be, I wasn’t quite sure.
I open the door and am filled with glee;
The visitor ahead is no stranger to me.
I welcome the guest with utmost delight;
For I know it has come to give me respite.
An air of happiness fills the space;
My home now seems, a better place!
Have you any clue who this visitor could be?

which means putting sins to an end;
The musjids will suddenly be full
while the smoker won’t take his toxic pull;
All the Muslims will be on the fast
while those who are ‘fast,’ their sins will cast;
The hearts will be rid of its rust
and the barely used Qurans of its dust;
Women will eagerly don their cloaks
which for them, the rest of the year was a joke;
Men will gladly beards sprout
although the rest of the year they left it out;
